We spent the weekend in the town of Panajachel on the beautiful Lake Attitlan. We attended our annual Mission Prayer Retreat. It was for all of the IMB missionaries who serve in Guatemala (and one family from El Salvador). We had 14 family units who could attend this year. We had a team from First Baptist, West Monroe, Louisiana to come and share God's Word with us as well as work with our MK's (missionary kids). It was a very refreshing time for us to just hang out and fellowship with our colleagues and also to have a time of praise and worship and Bible study in English. Ahhh, we feel recharged and ready to get back to work. Here are a few photos from the weekend-

Each family was given a time to share an update about their work, and give prayer requests for their work and family. Everyone then gathered around them and took turns praying for them. It was a sweet time for everyone. The majority of our weekend was spent praying for and encouraging each other.
