This is Sandra. She is the newest member of our mission family. She arrived in Guatemala on Monday. Typically the first week for new personnel is spent getting to know the area and people they will work with. They will eat dinner with a different mission family each night. Last night we were asked to take her out to eat and get to know her. We took her to TGI Friday's, of course. She is a retired school teacher who came under the Master's Program. This program is designed especially for people 50+ who want to serve God through international missions. The Masters Program enlists Southern Baptists who have invested their lives in business or another field, have retired early, and now can offer IMB long-term personnel support and encouragement in a variety of ways.
