Greetings from Guatemala! We were excited about a new village opening up for us to teach in during the month of January. A visitor to David's Bible study in Nearar invited him to come lead a study in his home in the village of Muyurco. David was able to teach once last month and had a great turnout. We later returned as a family to make an encouragement visit in that home. We have plans to teach there again this Thursday afternoon. Would you be in prayer for that Bible study time? Pray for us to build some solid relationships there and that an ongoing regular Bible study time would begin.
We made the move from Camotan to Chiquimula last month. We appreciate your praying for us during the transition time. It went very smooth and we are adjusting quickly to our new home. We love our new location and it is really beginning to feel like home.
The last week of January we hosted a medical team from First Baptist Church Mount Pleasant, SC. We had a great week partnering together doing a medical clinic in the village of Chanco. Many turned out each day to receive medical care, have teeth pulled, and fellowship with the team. Would you pray for us as we do some follow-up there over the next few weeks?
Cruz began classes at a new school today in Chiquimula. We would appreciate your praying for him and that we would all adjust well to the new schedule that it will bring.
We look forward to continuing our Bible study times during the month of February and for opportunities to begin new ones as well. Please pray for us as we share the Gospel here and for the many who have not yet made professions of faith in Christ. Pray specifically for those living in the villages of Chanco, Lagunetas, Tunuco Arriba, Muyurco, Churischan, and Nearar.
