Busy Days

Most times when you return home from a long trip you take a few days to get unpacked and settled back in.  That was not the case for us when we got back from Virginia.   We got home late Saturday night and then had a speaking engagement on Sunday morning.  We were local in Brookhaven though so that was nice.  We attended Central Baptist Church.  This church has really done a great job of taking us under their wings and encouraging us and praying for us.  We did not know anything about this church or any of it's members prior to this Stateside but it's been a joy getting to connect with them and know them.

This particular service was a little different than what we normally do when we speak at a church.  They only wanted us to share a brief greeting and background and then just sit and enjoy the service.  The service was designed to be an encouragement to us and to refresh us.  It did just that!  It was a blessing to our family and could not have come at a better time.  We left feeling loved and appreciated.

Here are our boys before we left for church on Sunday morning.

For lunch we stopped by Ward's.  David and I love their steak sandwiches.  It was a beautiful, sunny day so we sat outside.

We spent the rest of the afternoon napping, washing clothes, and getting repacked.  We had plans to leave on Monday driving to the Gulf Coast for another speaking engagement.  And, it's not our only travel trip for this week.  We'll be back home a few days and then leave again for a speaking engagement in Louisiana.  These are busy days, but we're having a lot of fun and making lots of wonderful memories.   That's all that matters, right.

Here's sweet Ben on Monday morning clowning around while we got the car loaded.  I am very thankful that our boys are flexible and travel so well.   It would be hard to live in our family if you were not, ha.
