Christmas Eve 2013

Our Christmas gatherings with family began on Christmas Eve Eve. On that Monday night we celebrated with David's dad. We all met at a local pizza diner in town called Foxes Pizza. It was our first time to go there and it was very delicious. After our meal everyone came back to our house for coffee, hot chocolate, and dessert. We spent the rest of the evening visiting. It was a very nice time together.

Our Christmas Eve morning began with David making a trip to see the doctor.  He had been sick for several days and finally decided to go in for a shot and medicine.  That took most of his morning.  While he was gone the kids played  and I decorated the house for our annual "Happy Birthday, Jesus" party.  I hung streamer and balloons from the ceiling and doorways.  When Ben walked into the room and saw it his face lit up and he said, "Wow!".  It was cute.

Cruz and I also baked the birthday cake.  I had asked him what kind of cake he wanted to do for the party and he said chocolate.  So our cake was chocolate with chocolate icing.  We used M&M's for decorations.

When David returned we had our lunch party.  We ate pizza from the night before and cake.

Cruz was excited!

Later that evening we drove to Gallman to celebrate with David's moms family.  We had a finger food meal.

After eating the kids all got to open gifts.  Here they are before the presents were handed out.

They had a "Happy Birthday, Jesus" cake also and the kids all helped blow out the candles.

We dressed the boys in their pajamas before we left and then drove home to put them to bed.  Once they were asleep we got busy setting out all of their gifts.  It is something that I look forward to and love doing!  I was soo excited I could barely sleep.  I just love the anticipation of Christmas morning- especially now that I have little ones to enjoy it with.

The calm before the storm!
