December 2012 Newsletter

Greetings from Guatemala!  At least half of the month of November we spent traveling.  Mid-month we traveled around seven hours to the town of Ruetaulehu, Guatemala to attend a retreat with our other IMB Indigenous workers.  It was a great time of being together and encouraging each other in our works.  The next week we traveled another seven hours to Panajachel, Guatemala to spend Thanksgiving with our IMB mission family.  We had a fun couple days of being together.  We are blessed with a great mission family!  In between these travels David spent every weekend in Honduras teaching Bible stories at the Agricultural Institute.  It's been a busy, but good month.

We have three more weekends of training in Honduras.  So far it is going well.   Pray with us that we would receive an invitation to begin teaching Bible stories in the village of Lagunetas when the training is over.  That has been our goal with this whole process.

We are continuing to teach in the village of Nearar each Sunday.  Please continue to pray for these times of study and for the few believers there.  Pray for them to endure the persecution they are receiving.  This village as a whole is not receptive to the gospel, but we will continue to go and teach the few that want to learn as long as they keep inviting us back.  Pray for us as we travel to and from that village each week.

We are very excited about celebrating Christmas this year.  Having our two little boys makes every holiday so much more fun.  It is going to be fun to experience it through their eyes.  We pray that each of you have a very blessed Christmas holiday as well.  To our Southern Baptist readers:  As you prepare to give to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering may our family be a face to your giving.  Your support of this offering is what helps us be on the mission field.  We thank you in advance for your sacrificial giving!  Our little family appreciates it!
