On Tuesday we survived our first trip to the Mississippi Children's Museum. Ben turned six months old and we wanted to celebrate by doing something fun. Let's just say it was a LOT of fun for Cruz, and a LOT of work for his mom and dad. It is a wonderful museum. We were very impressed. We will be adding it to our list of places to visit on our trips home because we liked it so much. BUT, for a "spirited" two- year old like ours it was stimulation overload! He was all over the place. He could not enjoy one station without running to two more to check out. He is never still for any amount of time, and it was amplified in there. We were completely exhausted by the time we left. It took both of us to keep up with him and keep an eye on him. He was definitely "that child" that day. It is not that he was being a bad child. He was just enjoying himself, rapidly. There is so much to do and explore there and it will only get better as the boys get older. We cannot wait to take them back, and thankfully we have a whole year to rest up. haha
me and the boys outside the entrance
milking a cow
driving a car (one of his favorite things to do)
about to put gas in the car
He liked this area most of all. Those little hands probably touched everything on that table.
He played on the playlands.
He dressed up in costumes. Here he is driving a crane.
He played with legos.
There is a lifesize Scrabble board. I wanted to get Ben's photo too, but Cruz took up all of our time.
playing in the water with David
doing a little fishing
boat races
and doing what he does best- climb and monkey around
This is the only photo I took of Ben even though we went to celebrate him. It's cute, huh.
We were tired, but we had a fun day being together as a family. I like days like that!
