November 2010 Newsletter

Greetings from Guatemala! For the first time we are sending you greetings from Sayaxche- our new home. It's been a long time in the making and we can't believe we are finally here. There were times we didn't think we'd make it, but the Lord made a way.

We found a place to live, paid our first months rent this past Sunday, and moved a few things in. We are beginning to clean the place up and do a little painting. Not sure yet how much work is going to have to be done to it, but we'll tackle it a day at a time. We are waiting to hear when our crates will be brought up so that we can begin the unpacking and really getting settled in. Thanks for praying for us to find a place to live. We think once we fix it up that we will be very happy with the place we have found.

During October we took a two week vacation back home to visit our families. It was a wonderful trip and we enjoyed each day we were there to spend with them. They enjoyed getting to know the baby and loving on him.

Cruz is doing well. He recently turned 5 months old! He is growing way to fast. He now weighs 19 lbs. and is 26.25 inches long. He is a happy/ friendly baby, and we are blessed that he is so healthy.

In between fixing up the house and moving in we plan to visit with several of the K'ekchi' pastors and leaders this month and get a better idea of where to begin working. Pray for us as we start to get plugged in to the work. Pray that we would make wise ministry decisions. Pray that we would stay focused on reaching the lost and not get side-tracked by other things and ideas. Pray for us as we make relationships with those around us, beginning with our neighbors. There are a lot of areas that need to hear the gospel and we are anxious to get to them and share it!

As we enter the season of Thanksgiving we realize that we have so much to be thankful for. We are grateful for where the Lord has brought us and how he has blessed us way more than we could have imagined. Your prayers have been a big part of that. We can't thank you enough for praying for us- it's the best thing you can do! Until next time...
Sending our love,
David, Regina, and Cruz
