The Pumpkin Patch

Sunday morning we attended service at our home church, Harmony Baptist in Crystal Springs.  It is always nice to go and see everyone and fellowship with them.  At the same time, it is bitter sweet because it reminds us just how much we miss everyone and makes us a little sad.  They just called a new pastor and we enjoyed getting to meet him and hear him preach.  We are excited about what the Lord is going to do there in the coming weeks, months, and years!

After church we had a family lunch at David's grandmother's house.  We then all loaded up and drove to Collins, MS to Mitchell Farms.  What a beautiful place that was!
We all lined up and paid our entrance fee and then headed out to look around.

We had fun riding on this large thing all around the farm hearing about the history of the place and all the things they grow and do there.

There were several places like these for taking photos

I couldn't resist taking Cruz's photo here.  It will be a tradition everytime we return.

One of the play areas was like a large sandbox but it had corn kernels in it instead.  The kids loved playing in it.  Cruz was not so sure about it.
Each person gets to pick out a pumpkin to take home.  We loved our little baby pumpkin that we picked for Cruz.  He also got a piece of cotton that I will keep for his baby book.
Here's our group.  We had a really fun time!

On the way out we stopped by the sunflower fields to take a few photos.  It was beautiful!
It was a very nice way to spend the afternoon and well worth the drive to get there.  I will definitely be putting this on my list of things to do when we vacation in October again.

The fair looked like fun. The Merry-go-round is my favorite ride. Thanks for sharing all the pictures. God bless - Cathy in Ohio
