Our new toilet

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! 2 Corinthians 5: 17
When we woke up Monday morning we noticed a puddle of water around our toilet. We turned the water off and called the plumber. He could not come until late Monday night. When he arrived to look at it he recommended that we replace the whole thing. So, we spent all of yesterday with the plumber here replacing our toilet. He arrived at 8:00 and did not leave until 5:00. The good news is we have a brand new, shiny, pretty toilet. Can you call toilets pretty??? I guess when they are new you can. Here are some photos from our day:
This is a picture of our plumbers work truck. Did I say work truck?? I meant mode of transportation. We were thinking when we called him that he would show up in a work truck with lots of tools and equipment to do plumbing work. Well, not here. He showed up on this bicycle with a small tool box.
This is a photo of our old toilet. From the pictures you can't tell a lot of difference in the old and new but in person you really can.
These are the before and after holes in our floor where the toilet goes.

While the concrete was drying David took a few minutes to touch up the paint and fill in the space we could not reach when we painted the bathroom.

Here are photos of the mess that was made in the process. It drove us crazy having the bathroom in a mess until he finished and we could clean it up.

And this is the finished product! We sure do love it.
Nice, clean, shiny, and pretty!
