A day of fun at Semuc Champey

Let them praise the name of the Lord, for his name alone is exalted; his splendor is above the earth and the heavens. Psalm 148:13
On Thursday we took the team to Semuc Champey for their free day. After a long week of travel and working it was really nice just to relax in the natural pools there. We were only about 30 minutes away so it was a great place to visit before heading home.
It was the fourth visit for David and I but we never get tired of it. It is a beautiful place and very nice for relaxing and "kicking back". There is a lookout that you can hike up to and see all of the pools and the river. We have never done this in our previous visits. The sign says that it is difficult and takes an hour and 15 minutes. We assumed that was one way so we have never been too excited about trying it.

Well we asked around this time and found out that the time was more or less round trip. Several of us decided to try it out. It was a difficult hike up and down but was very worth it. The views from the top were amazing.

It was a great day!
