It's Moving Time

We have been busy wrapping things up in our current work area.  Our days have been filled with saying goodbye to many.  It is always sad to let go and move on.  I am not very good at that.  It helps knowing that we will be able to return here and see them again from time to time.  Here are a few photos I have taken recently.

This was my last regular kids class in Nearar.  Of all the things I am going to miss getting to teach this sweet bunch of kids each Sunday morning is top of my list.  They are precious and I am going to miss them dearly!
It was time for a dental cleaning so we had our last visit to our dentist here.  She is the sweetest thing!  She has been so kind and patient with the boys.  Because of her they enjoy going to the dentist.  I hope we find someone else in our new area that we love as much as her.

I shed a few tears on Cruz's last piano day.  There is no doubt we will miss his music school and the great group of teachers there.  They have been such a blessing to our family.  Cruz has done so well with them.  They will be hard to replace.  Pray that we can find him a teacher in the Antigua area so that he can continue his music lessons.

This sweet, patient young lady has helped Ben so much build his confidence in Spanish.  We will miss her.  We plan to find a new tutor in Antigua to continue helping both of them with their Spanish.

Miguel went out to eat with us recently.  He is like a member of our family.  We are so proud of the growth he has made in his walk with the Lord.  Seeing him blossom has been a joy for us.  We will look forward to continuing our partnership with him in the future as we work teams together.

Another sweet meal we had was with the Lubecks.  We have enjoyed their friendship so much over the years.  We are thankful for the way they have shared their lives with us.

While we have been busy wrapping things up around the house, the boys have had an extra special week.  Schools are out here for their equivalent of our summer break.  Their school year is January- October.  During the month of November several places offer "vacation school" days for the kids. They plan fun activities and things for the kids to do. One of those places is Jungla Kids in our town.  The boys are getting to go this week and enjoy art, music, recreation, crafts, games, and other fun activities.  We are getting their school work done early and then they head out for a few hours there.  The best thing is that is has been a great opportunity to practice their Spanish.  It could not have fallen on a better week for us.  While the boys are away we are getting so much accomplished at home.  And, having a few still, quiet moments during this otherwise stressful week has been amazing.  Here are a few photos of them from there-

Wednesday was costume day.  Here are all the kids dressed up.

Cruz went as Captain America

They came home one day with painted faces.

On Thursday they made chef hats and got to make chocolate molds.  They are having the best week!

We cut our last countdown ring this morning.  It is now our last day to call Chiquimula home.  The movers will be arriving later today to begin loading our things.  We will leave for Antigua on Saturday morning.  Pray that it all goes well.
