Independence Day 2017

We were excited about being in the States for the 4th of July.  We always celebrate while in Guatemala but it just isn't the same as actually being here.  We divided the day between family and friends and had a great time of celebration.

We began the morning with a pancake breakfast and a few family photos.

Afterwards we drove to Memaw's house (David's mom) for some fun in the sun at her pool.  They had a fish fry for lunch and we spent the day swimming and eating.  I didn't take many photos there because most of my time was spent in the water.

Later that afternoon we drove over to the Browns house for an evening of fun with them.  The kids played hard together which meant the adults got to sit back and visit.  We had a really fun time.

This is what it's really like when we all get together, ha  We sure have fun!

We left their home and got back to our town just in time to watch the fireworks show that the city was doing.  It was a great way to end the day.

Happy birthday U.S.A!
