January 2017 Newsletter

Greetings from Guatemala!  Happy New Year everyone.  We had a wonderful holiday season and although we enjoyed it greatly we are also a little glad to see it go.  We are looking forward to getting back on track with our normal routine and schedule.  I plan to start back with homeschool later this week.  The time off has been so refreshing for me and the boys. I didn't realize how much I was needing the break until I was in the middle of it.  It's been good!

Our Bible study schedule for January as of now will be Sunday mornings in Nearar and Thursday afternoons in Muyurco.  We will also be attending services on Sunday nights either in Chiquimula or Zacapa.  Please continue to pray for these teaching times.

Our next team arrives on the 22nd.  It is a group from First Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant, SC.  We are looking forward to hosting them and working alongside them in ministry that week.  Would you pray for a productive week, for good health, traveling safety, and opportunities to share our faith with those around us?

We will be starting our third Stateside Assignment beginning in July.  That means we only have six months left in this term.  Pray that we would stay focused on the task ahead in these last few months.  Pray that we would be intentional in sharing the Gospel and making disciples for Christ.  Pray that we would finish this term strong and leave the work in a healthy state.

Thank you for your continued prayer support over the years and the many ways that you have encouraged us.  Thank you for your gifts to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.   Those funds allow us to live and serve here.  Whatever role you play in our ministry we value it.  Whether it is praying, giving, or coming down to work with us each one is important.  Thank you for all you do to help us advance the Gospel here in Eastern Guatemala.  We appreciate you very much!
