July 2013 Newsletter

Greetings from Guatemala!  We are very thankful for the two Bible studies that we currently have going.  During the month of June we taught three Bible stories in the village of Nearar and two in the village of Lagunetas.  Being able to teach is something that we are enjoying.  Please pray for the two villages that we are currently working in.

We are seeking to begin a work in a third village- Tunuco Arriba.  During the month of June David took a group of four leaders from that village over to the Agriculture Center in Copan, Honduras to tour it and learn more about the training program they offer there.   They are very interested and are currently recruiting twelve from their village to send to be trained.  The training will take place July 8-19.  It will run for two straight weeks (as opposed to our last session that went every weekend for six weeks).  Our partner there, Dan Watson, and his workers will be teaching agriculture and David will be teaching Bible stories.  Pray that the students would be open to his teachings and we would receive an open door to return to their village once the training is over to continue teaching.   Pray for the many in that village who do not know Christ, and for opportunities for us to share with them about His saving grace.

Our family is all doing well.  Cruz is half way through the school year and enjoying it.  He recently started taking soccer lessons two days a week and loves it.  Ben is growing fast and turning into such a big boy.  He is his brother's shadow and they keep us quite busy.

We thank you for your prayers.  We thank you for your love.  We thank you for your support.  We absolutely love being called to the mission field.  It is truly a blessing to be able to serve Christ here.  Your prayers, love, and support makes that possible.  So, again, we say THANK YOU!
