Visiting Copan With The Byrd's

As if we didn't travel enough last week on Saturday we had to make a trip over to Copan, Honduras to drop off some supplies for an upcoming conference that David will be attending there this week.  Our friends, the Byrd's, wanted to get together that day so we just invited them to go with us and spend time together there.  After running our errand we went to lunch together.  They told us about a place called Picame and we tried it out.  They recommended the hamburgers so that's what everyone got.

The menu lists 1/4 pound hamburgers and double meat hamburgers.  Underneath they have a list of extras that you can get on it.  David ordered every extra except onions.   That meant he got a hamburger with Kraft cheese (here they always say "Kraft cheese" for cheese slices although it is probably never "Kraft" brand.  That makes us laugh), Edom cheese, pineapple, avocado, bacon, a fried egg, jalapenos, lettuce, tomato, mayo, mustard, ketchup, and Marie Sharp's chili sauce (his favorite).

David with his loaded burger.  It came with fries and a drink.

It was tall!  The picture doesn't show that very well.

Josh with his double meat loaded burger.

Afterwards we stopped by the coffee shop for coffee and dessert and then came back to our house and visited the rest of the afternoon.  It was a fun day and I was glad we got to spend it with some fun friends.

I couldn't resist getting a picture of Cruz with the John Deere tuk tuk in Copan.  Usually the tuk tuk's are all red.  It was funny seeing this green one.

He just needed his John Deere boots to go with it, haha.
