I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever

Even though it is very difficult to get there, I find myself looking forward to our time of Bible study each week in the village of Nearar.  The hike up and down the mountain carrying Ben in this heat just about does me in though.  Because of that we started walking several weeks ago after supper to try to get in shape a little more.  I think we all enjoy the exercise and fresh air when we do.

As I mentioned before we have a lot of children coming.  We have started incorporating music into our study times.  We sing several  praise songs before we begin and usually end in a few songs.   We have no instruments so it is just our voices making a "joyful" noise.  The kids seem to really enjoy it and I know that we do as well.

The area is pretty rustic.  We meet at the house of the only believers in the village.  We meet outside on a dirt patio under a tin covered roof.  We have plastic stools to sit on.  It is simple, and we like it that way.
The house where we meet.  I am always very happy to see it after hiking down the mountain to get there.

The family has wanted to construct a separate meeting place for a while.  They talked about building a place up the mountain that would be more central for the village.  I really liked that idea because it would not require us hiking to get there.  For some reason that idea did not pan out so instead they have decided to build something next to their house.  This week Bro. Nahum and a group from Honduras came over and helped them on the project.  David had planned to go, but has been sick all week and could not go.  He has dengue fever.  It will be interesting to see on Sunday what progress they have made.  I will be sure to take photos and update about it.

Please keep this area in your prayers.  There are not many adults attending, but the children that are there are learning Bible stories and we pray that they are resharing them in their homes.

As the rain and snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth:  It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.  Isaiah 55:10-11
