Week 38 (update)

I AM 38 WEEKS TODAY!

I had my check-up today.  It went well.  The baby is around 7.5 pounds.  I have gained 2 more pounds for a total of 28.  The baby is still in a seated position- head under my ribs, his behind in my pelvis, and feet folded on the side.   This is the exact same way he was last Wednesday which means he has not moved at all.  SO, I am scheduled for a c-section next Wednesday, May 26.  I will check in to the hospital on Tuesday night and be ready for surgery at 8:00 a.m. on the 26th.  We were sure hoping for a natural delivery but we have a peace about it knowing the many prayers that have been prayed about the situation.  All of his other measurements looked great and he appears to be very healthy.

I plan to spend the next week just resting and taking it easy.  We ask for your continued prayers for us over these next few days and as we prepare for his birth next week.
