Week 30

I am 30 weeks today!
ABOUT THE BABY-
He's been a trooper!  We just made our fourth trip by air since becoming pregnant.  He's been from Guatemala to Mississippi and back.  He's been twice to Alabama, three times to Louisiana, twice to Virginia, to Tennessee, and had layovers in Atlanta, Houston, and Charlotte.  He's even cruised to Mexico.  He is already well traveled and he is not even born yet!  Now he will hopefully get to spend the next 10 weeks taking it easy and getting ready to enter the world.  We talked on the plane today as we were flying into Guatemala City that it was weird how we were leaving our home and coming back here to what will be Cruz's home and birthplace.  It's a strange thought but one we look forward to with great joy!  I hope one day he will understand the great opportunity he has been given to impact so many with his life.  We are thankful that God has given him to us and we can't wait for him to be a special part of our ministry!  God is good!
Here are a few photos of him from our sonogram last week-

HOW AM I DOING?
I am feeling very relieved!  I am glad to have all of the packing and moving behind me.  I look forward to a few days of rest and catching my breath before we start language school next Monday.  I am finding it harder to get up and down and think I'll be needing David's help before long, ha.  I haven't slept well in a while and do much better if I get on the couch and prop up.  My sinuses drive me crazy and I still sneeze all the time.  I hope that goes away after birth.  My feet have also started to swell at times, but that is expected considering I am always on them.  I am glad to be entering the last leg of the pregnancy and look forward to meeting our baby in person soon.  We ask you to pray that all continues to go well and that he will be born on time and be very healthy.

  1. Ha! I know what you mean about your child being well traveled before even being born! Lane had been from N.C. to Hawaii, Alaska (twice), Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama before being born. Since being born she's added Mississippi, been to Tennessee and Alabama again, and is about to add Georgia (again), South Carolina, and back to N.C. and Virginia. Here's to well-traveled kids!
