Week 20- Half Way Done

ABOUT THE BABY-
In case you haven't heard, we're having a BOY!  We found out last week.

I am now 20 weeks pregnant- half way finished! This week I should be carrying about 6.5 inches and 10.5 ounces of solid baby-miracle-goodness! His little delicate bones continue to ossify and toughen while his tiny fingers and toe pads are finishing up. He now has teeth buds, although they’re hidden beneath the gum line. His limbs have reached their relative proportions—no more alien baby.  His eyelashes and eyebrows should also be visible.  At this point, he looks more like a  miniature baby, and I say minature because he currently weighs a mere eighth of what his final birth weight should be.  He should start packing on the pounds in the next few months.

The photo below made us laugh because it shows just how our baby has looked on our last two sonograms- sitting with his legs crossed!

HOW AM I FEELING?
I am still doing well.  I can't believe I am half way done!  As eager as I am to meet our baby, I am not wanting the pregnancy to fly by.  I am really enjoying being pregnant and want to savor every moment of it.

We are thrilled to know what we are having.  It has made the pregnancy seem soo much more real now.  We are not just having a baby, we are having a son.  Wow, it's hard to believe!  We do not have any names picked out yet.  I had several girl names I liked but no boy names.  Any suggestions???  Leave us a comment and let us know what you like.  Keep in mind that our last name is White.

Food has never tasted soo good.  I love eating!  My favorites lately have been seafood and crab Subway's and chocolate milk.  I could eat that everyday.

As always, we ask that you continue to keep this pregnancy, my health, and the babies health in your prayers.  Pray that he will be healthy, that we don't have any complications, and that I will carry him to term.  Thanks!!!

  26. Wow, a boy and a SITS day, congratulations!!! I personally like Alexander. It balances out the one-syllable last name and you can still do a one-two syllable middle name. (and I like Teresha's idea for Adam) This way he'll be at either the front or the end of the line either way. :)

  31. Congratulations on the baby boy! I have a deep passion to become a missionary after college and it's awesome/encouraging to hear stories like yours. If you're interested I am forming a prayer intercession/vigil at 9:30 to pray for our communities and our campus' around the world. It would be awesome if you guys joined!
