Celebrating #13 (post 1 of 3)

In honor of our 13th wedding anniversary (which is Monday the 27th) we took a few days last week to visit the Pacific coast to celebrate. It was our third anniversary to celebrate in Guatemala and we have spent all three of them at the beach. Since our very first anniversary, we have always set aside time to get away and celebrate. It is the time of year that we look forward to the most.

We stayed at an all-inclusive resort hotel that was close to the beach. It was our second time to go there and we just love it! This is a photo of our building. We were on the fourth floor. The next two photos show our favorite things about the whole trip- a king size bed and a tub!!! We are used to sleeping on a full size bed, twin beds, and cots, and we consider taking a bath a LUXURY here!!!
Most all rooms have balconys. There are no ocean views because the hotel is too far from the water but you do have nice views of the grounds and pool.
This is the restaurant where we ate breakfast and dinner. Most meals were served buffet-style. We love the food here. Lunch was served outdoors by the pool.

Everything is very spread out. You definitely get your exercise while there. This is the bridge you walk over that takes you out to the beach. You are ready to get wet by the time you get there. View from the bridge.
These are photos of one of the two pools they have. We spent hours sitting out by this pool, reading, and swimming.
