Home at last!!!

For the third morning in a row we went to the airport and waited to get on a flight to Guatemala City. Today was a good day! We waited for a while and when they called us up to the counter it was like we had won the lottery! We cheered and clapped and were VERY happy. It was like we had the golden tickets in our hand. I kissed them and did not let them out of my sight. Everyone around thought we were nuts but we didn't care, we were HAPPY.
Boarding the plane

If there are seats available in first class normally you are put there. Friday we were hoping that our flight to Guatemala City would be first class. Saturday we were hoping to at least be in the back, not even sitting together, just on the plane. By today we were wishing they would just strap us to the toilet, ANYTHING, just let us fly home. We ended up getting put in first class anyway and it was a really special treat!

Most always there will be someone on our teams that takes photos of Guatemala City from the plane as they are landing. We never paid much attention to those photos or thought much about them but today I was snapping photos like crazy. I was very happy to see familiar landmarks and be back home. We were all smiles as we landed. It felt soo good to be back.

We will be staying overnight at the Arkansas Mission House and driving home to Coban tomorrow. Thanks for praying for our trip home. We had a blast!

  1. I love how you document even the little details of your life. (Like boarding the plane!) I don't feel so bad about all the details of life I blog about now. Glad y'all made it ALMOST home!
