Baby in a Bag

The most common way for the K'ekchi' women to tote their babies is to put them in a blanket with a strap around their forehead and tote them on their backs. We will see women and children carrying babies this way. When they need to put their babies down they will usually hang the strap on a nail on the wall or to a post outside. Below are some photos of this that we took last week during the clinic:

  1. Can you see me carrying Sara Madalin like that? There's no way.

  2. I'm so glad you finally got some pictures of that. The last one looks kind of big. What do they do when she wakes up? I hope they are paying attention when she wakes up. If not, that could be disatrous. You posted those pics just for me didn't you? I bet David was saying, "Robin wouldn't like that." I actually wish I could hang Larsen on the wall sometimes. She colored herself with lipstick again this week, she put some of my Star fo David dishes in the dishwasher for me, and has started to punch. She is quiet fun to have around.
