Climbing an active volcano

"Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God." Psalms 90:2

There are several volcanos in Guatemala but only 3 are still active. One of them is Pacaya which is outside of Guatemala City. Last night we set out to climb it. It was the third trip for David and I. Five of us went there but only four actually climbed up the volcano. You can see by this photo who stayed at base camp and hung out until the others returned. Been there, done that.

As you can see, it was a great night to climb as the lava was flowing really good. They did not have to go very high to see it.

They were pretty tired and wet by the time they came down but they had an awesome time and have not stopped talking about it all day.

  1. Wow! I bet that was fun. I have some friends in Guatemala and I've visited them a couple times. They never took me to the volcano. These guys must be really special to y'all. Ha! Looks like y'all are having a great time.
