Adjusting to change

"Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you." Psalm 142: 8
Today started with our K'ekchi' class. We pretty much spent the whole time reviewing. We have a worksheet for homework that has 129 questions to translate and answer. Only 129!! That has been what we have done with the rest of our day.

We had our weekly Wednesday afternoon prayer time. It was our first one without the McGriff's. They left on Monday for their year long stateside assignment. We sure missed them being there.
They were not able to take their dog with them. He has been looking pretty sad already. It is going to be a long year for him as well.

As you can tell from this photo, it rained today. We are in the rainy season and rain is pretty common this time of year. Although, where we live, in Coban, it is common to get rain all year long. It also turned cool. We had to put on long sleeves this afternoon. Because it turned cool today we decided to eat soup for dinner. We thought about the heat that many of you are having in the States right now. We joked about the fact that it's July and we have on jackets and are eating soup. After dinner, we went uptown and got ice cream. It was a great treat. Jackets, soup, and ice cream- now that's a combination.
